Places of interest... there are a lot in the Prignitz. From our hotel you can take a walk to the monastery "Stift zum Heiligengrabe", a former Cistercian monastery and still active as protestant nunnery. Often markets and concerts take place at this beautifull and historic place. And there is also a convent's shop (Picture top left). Or you enjoy a wide panoramic view across Prignitz' cultural landscape from the Blumenthal look-out (Picture top right).
Wittstock / Dosse ist a small town which ist very typical for northern Brandenburg. Here on can experience contemplative life in the mediaeval center of the town. Very attractive is the ensemble of town wall and castle which is now a museum (Picture down left).
A little further away - but worth a journey - is Meyenburg with it's old palace, situated directly at the border to Mecklenburg. A Museum in the palace shows fashion from different ages (Picture down right).
